OK, Here we Go!
And The Banned Underground are off and running...
This is my major comic fantasy series, signed to the brilliant new publishing house,
SAFKHET PUBLISHING.
I'll make no secret of my appreciation for their hard work and efforts in helping me bring these books out into the light of day.
One early Amazon reviewer, who may well be as insane as I am carried out a joke count on my first book, The Amulet Of Kings, and proudly announced that I had hit 3.2 jokes per Kindle page. Clearly a man with even more time on his hands than I have.
The Amulet Of Kings started as an epic High Fantasy novel, when I was in my early 20's. And it was an epic fail. Deservedly so. It wasn't very epic, and it certainly wasn't funny. Except for the bad writing. But it did have potential. The potential to lie dormant underneath my bed for thirty years. At which point it emerged, and took flight into a full rewrite, and the characters I love/hate so much were born? spawned? devised? grown? Actually, many of them had been in the back of my head for years, just too damn lazy to get their act together and give me something I could use in novel form. But now...
You may or may not be delighted to know that the publishers have taken the lid off the series, and told me to write as many as I can. Book 6 is well underway now...
Every novel, whether it is good, bad, ugly or downright disreputable has been hard work for the author. These are no different. But even though these books are hard work, I have just so much fun writing them. They should be illegal. What? I'm not the only one saying that? Oh.
Anyway, they have their own website, too. Check them out. www.thebannedunderground.com
My publisher has a website, natch. Check them out at www.safkhetpublishing.com
